Importing products from Excel or CSV

In Products → Settings → Import products, upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file with a header row, up to 5 MB and up to 5,000 products. You can also choose Have a spreadsheet? Import it during initial setup. You can download a CSV template in the import window. Save .xls files as .xlsx or .csv first.

Choose a branch for opening quantities. Check the column mapping and the preview, fix the mapping in the dropdowns and click Apply mapping. You can deselect rows. Rows with errors aren't imported, and identical rows are skipped. Prices are imported as they are: check whether the source prices include tax. Keep barcodes as text to preserve leading zeros; scientific notation must be fixed in the source file.

Click Import N products to save the selected rows. Existing products are matched by barcode and then SKU, and by default they're skipped. Update existing products changes only the price and cost supplied; quantities are added to stock at the chosen branch when stock is on. The preview is valid for 30 minutes. Prefer help?
