Accessibility statement
Last updated: September 6, 2026
KupaLi believes everyone should be able to use the site and the system, including people with disabilities. We work to make the service accessible in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
Accessibility level
The kupali.co.il site is developed with the aim of meeting the requirements of Israeli Standard IS 5568 at conformance level AA, which is based on the W3C's WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA. This is the conformance level we are committed to, and we develop and improve the pages accordingly. This statement is not a test certificate or an accessibility approval. We do not claim full, verified conformance in every component at every moment. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we fix any defect we discover or that is reported to us.
Accessibility features on the site
- Semantic structure with defined page regions (navigation, main content, footer), a correct heading hierarchy and a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page;
- Keyboard support for links, forms and dialogs, with a visible focus indicator; known limitations are listed below;
- Dialogs that trap focus while open, close with the Escape key and return focus to where they were opened from;
- Form fields with programmatically linked labels, and error messages announced to assistive technology;
- Status regions for dynamic messages, including form submission results;
- Alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers;
- Colors chosen with the aim of meeting AA contrast requirements; this is not a statement that every color combination in all content has been measured and verified;
- Full respect for the system preference reduced motion: animations are turned off for anyone who asked for this;
- A flexible layout for different screens and for zooming content. Detailed tables and images may require scrolling or dedicated zoom;
Known limitations
- The chat window in the corner of the page. The window loads after the page loads, is defined as a dialog with an accessible name, opens with focus already in the text field and closes with the Escape key. However, unlike the other dialogs on the site, it does not trap focus while open, and a new reply received in it is not announced automatically to a screen reader. You need to return to the conversation area to read it. If the chat is not convenient for you, you are welcome to contact us by email or through the contact page, and get exactly the same answer.
- The KupaLi system itself, behind the secure login. It is under continuous development and has not yet undergone a full accessibility audit. For the site as well, this statement does not confirm a full audit of all screens and states. We are bringing its screens to the same AA conformance level the site aims for.
- Content added over time, for example blog articles and help center guides, is written in the site's accessible templates, but is not checked item by item before publication. If you come across an item that is not accessible, we'd be glad to hear about it: it shortens our path to a fix.
Accessibility inquiries
Did you run into a problem? A page that doesn't work with your screen reader, a component you can't reach by keyboard, text that's hard to read?
